Coco Mademoiselle Intense EDP | Chanel
Today I want to share with you my review of the gorgeous and iconic Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel, and this is the Intense version.
What a beautiful scent! This is a very woodsy, ambery floral fragrance. It is similar to the original one but don’t buy this fragrance thinking you are getting a more intense and deeper version of the original because that’s not what you’re going to get.
Coco Mademoiselle Intense EDP vs. Coco Mademoiselle EDP Original
They are different scents, actually I don’t know why they name it “Intense” because it’s actually not more intense than the original Coco Mademoiselle perfume. This is more woodsy and more ambery than the original, which is more floral and even more fizzy especially in the opening.
Both are equally feminine. I like to think of Coco Mademoiselle Intense as the older sister of the original Coco Mademoiselle, but they’re both equally beautiful and timeless. If you are a Chanel lover and you can afford having both, go ahead and get them because they’re different enough to justify having both.
To me this one is deeper and warmer with more “body” than the original. It’s very strong in patchouli tonka bean, and vanilla, especially in the dry down where the tonka and patchouli are even more present and will be the stars of the fragrance. Remember that the base notes are the ones that last longer on your skin so make sure you love these base notes because that’s what you’ll get once the fragrance settles.
My opinion
I think this fragrance checks all the boxes. It’s elegant, classy, super feminine, sexy, and smells delicious. It has great lasting power, great projection, and a stellar sillage. I get many compliments every time I wear it, it’s definitely a crowd-pleaser. It’s that type of fragrance that will make you feel like the prettiest girl in town.
Wearability and Ocassion
I think Coco Mademoiselle Intense is definitely an all year round type of fragrance, more appropriate for night time. I’ve tried both in hot and cold weather and I can tell you it blooms during the colder months due to its alluring warmth. This is the perfect date night fragrance; a “guaranteed” head-turner ;-).
